Who is Pilates suitable for?
The results and the possibility to personalize the Pilates method means that it is suitable for everyone:
- People who want to keep in shape and relieve stress.
- Teenagers with posture problems.
- Ballerinas
- Athletes or sports persons who are completing preparation for agnostic activity or following a rehabilitation program after a traumatic event.
- People who do sedentary work (e.g. in front of the computer all day)
- Women who are preparing to give birth or trying to get back in shape after childbirth.
- Elderly people who would like to be more flexible.
Every course is attended by a small amount of people.
The reason for this is due to the attention paid to each individual
person.
In fact, the teacher has to be able to follow every single movement
of every pupil in order to be able to correct even the smallest
mistakes.
As a result each student is required to work physically hard and
be completely concentrated on what they are doing.
The Pilates Total Workout System lessons will have
a maximum of 3 people.
The Mat and the Bar will involve a maximum of 7-8 people.
Students are required to wear black and white clothing.
These colours help emphasize the importance of the time dedicated
to physical and mental wellbeing.
The neutrality of these two colours helps the mind relax and improves
concentration.
Total Workout System
These are sessions of about one hour that combine floor exercises with the use of different equipment designed by Joseph Pilates himself.
To begin with, students are required to attend four to eight individual lessons, after which one can take part in group lessons of 4 people.
Only in certain situations, if the teacher agrees, will it be possible for students to continue with individual lessons.
Mat Pilates
Lessons last 55 minutes and only involve Pilates floor exercises plus finishing exercises done with the Power Circle.
La sbarra
The bar courses are gymnastics lessons in the form of dance. Sequences of dance moves, from classic to modern, are followed by exercises on the bar and on the floor all accompanied by music. The aim of this technique is to strengthen the pelvic area. In fact, the movements carried out at the bar exercise all the abdominal muscles, and, in turn, stabilize and compact the pelvic muscles. This type of exercise, particularly suitable for women, allows you to work on your harmony and confidence with your body; it corrects posture and carriage, emphasizing graceful and feminine movements. For a whole hour you will feel like a ballerina!!
