After careful course restructuring, Senior Trainer Benedetta Scialino, fully certified from the main American PeakPilates campus, is now issuing certifications for instructors.
A PCC certificate guarantees the quality of the genuine Pilates Method for end-user protection. Thanks to a progressive and complete instruction format, ranging from the introductory to the advanced level, PCC will implement and refine your teaching skills through three main learning programs: PCCI-PCCII-PCCIII.
PCCI Course Structure for instructos: pcci
The total course duration is 64 classroom hours, divided into 4 sessions:
- First session: 4-5 Avril
Second session: 19-20 Avril
Third session: 10-11 May
Fourth session: 18 May - Final: to be determined
Between the first and second sessions there will be a two week
break. Between the second and the third sessions there will
be a two and a half week break. Final exams will be conducted
one month after the final session.
Each daily lesson begins at 8:30 a.m. and finishes at 17:30 p.m.
100% attendance is mandatory.
The examination will be both written and oral.
To prepare properly, 130 hours of independent practice is required, broken down into:
- 50 hours of personal practice
50 hours of practice teaching
30 hours of observation
The Pilates Classical Certification I (PCCI), an internationally recognized certificate, is awarded after scoring at least 80% in the theory and practice tests.
Course admission requirements
To be admitted onto the course a national or international qualification
in rehabilitation, physical training or dance is required. Waivers
are possible for people of proven capacity, after submitting a resume
and at the discretion of the centre’s administration.
Also, a minimum of 25 hours of Classical Pilates mat training and
equipment are required.

CCI Objectives
Learn the principles and foundations of Joseph H. Pilates’
classical and original method.
Learn how to execute precise Pilates teaching techniques.
Implementing your teaching skills you will be able to organize effective
lessons and form well-balanced and dynamic classes with proper rhythm
and fluency of communication.
Understand how to advance your clients in a safe manner, stimulating
and motivating them to achieve their goals.
Study the essential anatomy necessary to teach the Method, with the
addition of the specific and unique Pilates terminology.
Know the history of Pilates and its particular equipment.
Learn how to handle specific cases with appropriate modifications
of the Method, meeting the individual needs of students and managing
different levels of learning.
Learn a safe and scrupulous way of teaching, focusing also on
how to maintain the right environment for both teachers and students.
The second part of the teaching course: PCCII
After the successful completion of PCCI, and a minimum of 40 hours of certified teaching, you are ready for the next step: PCCII extends and deepens your teaching skills. Usually six to twelve months passes between PCCI and PCCII.
You will be introduced to a higher level with new exercises and a
new vocabulary.
Progression and principles of exercises will be analysed thoroughly,
exploring the anatomy of the neck and shoulder related to Pilates.
A further detailed study will be dedicated to touch techniques, suggestions,
and, most of all, we will focus on how to increase the quality
of movement.
The total course length is 40 classroom hours, broken down into
two weekends and an examination day. To prepare properly we require
70 hours of independent practice:
- 30 hours of personal practice
30 hours of practice teaching
10 hours of observation
Every hour of observation and teaching must be validated by a certificate trainer.
The third part of the teaching course:PCCIII
PCCIII will prepare you to perform and teach more advanced exercises while deepening your understanding of the movements as a system. You will increase in coordination and self-awareness and find how this will affect and improve your teaching: your students’ performance will markedly increase. Your teaching skills will let you deepen the comprehension of the relationships between exercises and you will learn how to progress your clients’ specific needs. 40 certified hours of teaching are mandatory to enter the course.
Your eyes will be able to see and correct movement execution in order to allow proper alignment and re-direct faulty movement patterns; lessons will be more effective and of a higher level.
The anatomy section will include upper and lower limbs, with a deeper comprehension of the relationship between Pilates Method and hip, knee, ankle, foot, elbow, wrist and hand.
The total course length is 24 classroom hours distributed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; the day of examination is set with the trainer. To prepare properly we require 60 hours of independent practice

Every hour of observation and teaching must be validated by a certificate trainer.
